In 2017, All India Glass Manufacturers Association which is an over five-decade old organization representing the interests of Indian Glass industry came out with a report that compared the overall Environmental impact of container glass in India.

The empirical study that was undertaken considered data from both small / medium as well as large scale industries. The report undertaken was done by a team of professionals who modelled the study in an original ISO 14040/44 compliant manner.
